149 Pictures Later...

We had a wonderful Easter weekend and I've been dying to post some pictures but two things have held me back. One, I am exhausted because Glade has been getting up almost every hour the past few nights. And two, I took 149 pictures that weekend and I haven't sifted through them yet! So thankfully Glade slept better last night and I'm finally catching up on a few things, sleep included. Here are 35 of the 149...the last pic is my fav, btw.

Is anyone else excited for Easter?
I've been browsing for craft ideas and thought I'd share a few.

"Truffle Eggs" -Mmmm.

"Egg Garden" - these would be so cute as a table centerpiece.

"Hard-Boiled Egg Mice" - mice are so cute...until they're in the house, then they give me the creeps. I don't know that I'll actually make these but I thought they were creative.

"Scrambled Egg Nests" - these look really yummy. I'm a breakfast food nut!

"Centipede Egg Holder" - how cute is he?!

The forgotten holiday

I don't know about you but I've never really done much for St Patrick's Day. Besides the fact that the boys and I wore green and I pinched Jarom for not, it was just like a regular day. Oh and I made broccoli to go with dinner...does that count...it's green. Did any of you have a more exciting holiday?

Little Giggles

I'm finally able to get videos to post. I have to put them in YouTube first though. You may be seeing quite a few videos on here from now on!

Glade doesn't share his little laughs and smiles all that often. I love to hear this boy giggle!

Here we come!

We played hide 'n seek with Jimmy a few nights ago. He had a BLAST! And we discovered that he can count to ten. Of course as soon as I got the camera out he decided to be silly. So you'll just have to trust me. He didn't want to stop playing once we started. Jarom and I took turns hiding. If Jimmy couldn't find us we'd start calling his name softly or making noises. Once when I was hiding, Jimmy walked into the room calling, "Jimmy, Jimmy" (in a soft voice like I did). I started busting up and he found me right away.

The Next Survivor Boy

Jimmy loves to pretend to eat bugs. This all started when he watched Bear Grylls on one of those survivor shows.

Dear Jimmy,

Daddy and I decided tonight that no longer will we allow you to live solely on milk and crackers. You started out such an excellent eater. What happened? You loved fruits, vegies, oatmeal, the whole shebang. My goodness, you scarfed down those squashed peas so quickly I truly wondered if I was missing out on a hidden delicacy (and soon found out I most certainly was not...yes, I did eat some and thence felt bad feeding them to you...yuck!). Our troubles began when you started "eating" table foods.

Long story short...you became SUCH a picky eater a boy who does not eat... and we've decided to not put up with it any more (at least to a certain extent).

Now the hard part starts. We had to put you, our sweet boy, to bed hungry tonight because you refused to eat dinner...and you really were VERY hungry because you hadn't had anything to eat since about 3 pm. It literally broke my heart to watch your Daddy carry you to bed as you cried, "I want muck (milk) peeease. Peeease, I want muck." You cried yourself to sleep and I felt like crying right along with you as I sat listening to your tears from the other room. I sure hope this works -fast- because I don't know if I am strong enough to keep it up for long. Know how much we love you and that's why we're doing this. Your little body needs more nutrients and if that's not motivation enough...your baby brother may pass you up soon! Please Jimmy, just eat.

Love,
Mommy

(I will be strong. I can do this. I will not give in.)

What the?

I came across this picture and couldn't help but laugh. My child looks slightly frightening (especially when you zoom in)!
