and there you have it...

And now the work begins. What do I take, what do I leave(there's no way all our stuff would fit in a small Holland house. How in the world do I pack for this? I'm excited, sad and just about a million other emotions right now! It'll be an adventure, that's for sure!

I am not going to lie. When your mom told me you were thinking about taking the job I just thought how cool is that. I think they should take it! When will you ever be able to do something so random and fun like this. ITs only 2 years so why not give it a shot and see how it goes. Ofcoarse there is the down side of not being able to see you guys but WOW! what a fun experience. We will really miss you guys but that just means we need to get together as much as possible before you head out. Im so excited for you Erika. Maybe if we can make good money we will for sure be making a trip out there. There are so many good and adventurous times ahead of you!

Holy Smokes!!!! I had no idea about this when I talked with you this morning! We'd just gotten back from a vacation to ST. George and I haven't caught up on my blogging!!! How exciting for your cute little family! How sad for us to lose you for 2 years. What an opportunity though. Let us know how we can help!

Erika! How exciting! I'm sure you guys are going to have an awesome experience that you'll always be grateful for. Good luck with the packing, I know that part is no fun...seeing how I just finished unpacking. Being all on your own away from family definitely has its hard times, but it will bring your little family even closer together. You'll do great and I'm so excited for you!

Wow! Congrats/Condolences!

It will definitely be an adventure that you won't forget.

If you want to talk to someone who has been living the expatriate life, my parents are currently living in Qatar - let me know. Being one 'left behind' you miss them, but you make do with what you've got. There are some late nights to stay up chatting, but hearing of the experiences that they've had, I know they wouldn't trade it for a more normal existence.

You seem to be going with your eyes wide open. Best to you.

How exciting! What a wonderful experience! I'm excited for you guys, yet I know how hard its going to be to be away from family. You will find a way to make everything perfect I'm sure!

(side note, I'd love to do pictures! I'm down in Spanish Fork but I don't mind driving one bit. Just let me know when you want to do it and we'll figure out where. Triana@sk8erord.com)

Here's another plus for you to consider--exposing your children to another language at such a young age will make it so much easier for them to learn a language when they go on their missions.

I am really jealous. Have a great time. And isn't it wonderful that we live in an age when we have air mail, skype and blogs to help us keep in touch?

Wow! This will be an awesome adventure for your little family. Aren't you so grateful for e-mail, blogs :) and all the great technology that we have so you'll be able to keep in touch with everyone! I sure will miss you though. Hopefully you can just keep your house and then move back in a couple years!

We'll be sad to see you go but what an adventure. My dad and Casey's dad went on their missions their so I know quite a bit about the country. It's beautiful! ...from pictures I see. The church is very small, but what a great example and strength you will be to their branch! Good luck!! You better blog lots!

What a fun adventure!!! I think you'll be surprised by the number of people who will make the trek out to see you. When my family lived in Singapore, all sorts of people came out to visit, and we LOVED it! It's so much fun knowing all about a unique place, and being able to act like the expert/tour guide! I promise you'll fall in love with the people and the culture so quickly!! I'm jealous!
