Barcelona

So is it time that I post about our trip to Spain? I know you've all been on the edge of your seats dying to hear how it was! ;)

First we spent 3 days in Barcelona. We had an adorable hotel room. It was tiny and when trying to find the hotel we actually walked past it about 3 times before realizing it. The elevator was incredibly old and tiny. We barely squeezed the stroller inside. It had a lot of character but the bed was horribly uncomfortable!
We went to the Temple de la Sagrada Familia by Gaudi. It is currently under construction but is still gorgeous. Then we had a good time walking down Las Ramblas, shopping, taking pictures with the funny people dressed up, waving to Christopher Colombus, and eating tortilla de potata (yum)! My favorite store in Barcelona was Sfera. Oh my goodness...it was like heaven in there. I had a blast picking out birthday gifts for my sis, Lara, and my Mom #2.

Here's some live action...

Gotta love those palm trees, right?! Oh and how could I forget...the weather was amazing! 20 degrees Celsius (sorry folks, I talk in Celsius now). No coats for us! One of the only things I didn't miss about Holland was the rain.

Coming next, Tarragona....wow was it ever gorgeous...I fell in love...stay tuned!

What an awesome trip. It looks beautiful there. What a nice break from the rain.
But oh.... tulip season in Holland!!! I wish I could visit there right now. I hope you make it to Keukenhoff. Post lots of pictures of it.

That's incredible! I'm jealous. And yes, it's snowing here. I want to die, it's so cold!

Jealous here too! Why were those people in the street? Their costumes ruled!!!

I meant... why were they DRESSED UP in the street? (it's late)

They make money by dressing up and standing in the street. Each time we walked down Las Ramblas there were many people dressed up. There were some pretty lame costumes too and I felt pretty bad for them. I was tempted to go throw a coin in their bucket out of pity!
